Manchester United close in on deal for £17 million Royal Antwerp goalkeeper Senne Lammens in summer window – Paper Round

Utd set to sign Lammens

The 23-year-old was left out of the Belgians’ squad this weekend as talks continue between the clubs.

The paper writes: “Senne Lammens was axed from Royal Antwerp’s matchday squad ahead of a £17 million move to Manchester United.

“The Belgian goalie, 23, has emerged as a late summer target for Ruben Amorim’s side.

“Lammens, who has played 63 times for his club but is yet to be capped by Belgium, is eager to join United and has already agreed personal terms over a contract.

“The Red Devils are now in talks over a transfer fee in the region of £17m.”

Ramazani poised for Valencia loan

Leeds United’s 24-year-old Belgian winger Largie Ramazani is due to leave for a loan at Valencia in the coming days.

The Athletic believes that Ramazani is well down the pecking order this season under manager Daniel Farke.

The website explains: “Leeds United and Valencia are negotiating a loan deal for winger Largie Ramazani.

“Sources at Elland Road have described a temporary switch for the Belgian as ‘likely’.

“The 24-year-old was omitted from yesterday’s squad at Arsenal and is evidently some way down head coach Daniel Farke’s pecking order for the campaign ahead. Daniel James, Wilfried Gnonto, Brenden Aaronson, Jack Harrison and new signing Noah Okafor were all preferred to Ramazani on Saturday.”

Chelsea duo to join Dortmund

Borussia Dortmund are ready to sign Chelsea pair Carney Chukwuemeka and Aaron Anselmino.

Defender Anselmino will join on a straight loan deal, while Chukwuemeka will move to the Bundesliga on a permanent basis.

The Evening Standard reports: “Chelsea’s list of summer outgoings is set to continue growing as Carney Chukwuemeka and Aaron Anselmino both close in on moves to Borussia Dortmund.

“Chukwuemeka is set to rejoin the Bundesliga outfit permanently after spending six months on loan there last season, while Anselmino is set for a simple loan move with no option to buy.

“Both players have been given permission to travel for their medicals, which are pencilled in for Monday.

“Chukwuemeka will be sold for around £24 million, and Chelsea have inserted a significant sell-on clause in his deal. The move takes Chelsea’s total summer income to £273.4 million, more than any other Premier League side.”

Tottenham and Villa keen on Paqueta

Lucas Paqueta could be a target for both Tottenham Hotspur and Aston Villa in the last days of the current transfer window.

The Brazil international wants to play UEFA Champions League football, something that Tottenham can offer.

The Mirror states: “There could be more trouble for The Hammers amid huge interest in Paqueta, who has just been cleared of wrongdoing amid an investigation into betting allegations.

“After a difficult period that saw him facing a lifetime ban from football, the Brazilian international is now keen to play for a Champions League side.

“Aston Villa are also keen on the 27-year-old playmaker – but the Midlands outfit have financial restrictions and are currently exploring a loan for Chelsea forward Nicolas Jackson.

“Spurs have already raided West Ham once this season after signing Mohammed Kudus for £55m and Hammers fans would be distraught to lose another key man to their London rivals.”
